ELGAR Technology College welcomed back the class of 2008 for their GCSE presentation evening.

The event, on Wednesday, November 19, featured special guest speaker, Louise Hewett of Hewett Recruitment, who gave an inspirational speech to the former year 11s.

She congratulated the ‘class of 2008’ on achieving GCSE results which were the “best ever” in Elgar’s history and wished the students every success for their future chosen career paths.

Assistant headteacher Kevin Hall, who introduced the evening, said: “It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the school’s best ever GCSE results and welcome back so many students and their parents”.

After the ceremony students collected their Leavers’ Year Book and enjoyed chatting with their former teachers before saying their final farewells.
