A MAN interviewed by police about cannabis that was found in his car later confessed he also had amphetamine hidden under his bed.
Officers who had previously searched Ibrar Hussain’s home in Canterbury Road, Ronkswood, Worcester, had missed the drug worth £25, said defence counsel Tim Sapwell.
Hussain admitted possession of both drugs and was given a conditional discharge for 12 months.
Judge John Cavell said it was to his credit that he volunteered information to the police.
Hussain, aged 23, was first stopped by police in Wyld’s Lane, Worcester. He had cannabis worth £40 in his car, said Julian Harris, prosecuting.
During a later interview at the police station he admitted there was amphetamine in his bedroom.
The drugs were for his own personal use. He had no police record.
Worcester Crown Court heard that the defendant had been found not guilty by a jury of possessing the drugs with intent to supply.
