ANIMAL lovers can support a rescue centre which rehomes unwanted pets.
Danemere Animal Rescue Centre in Plough Lane, Tibberton, is holding its annual Christmas fund-raiser at the community hall in Heritage Way, Droitwich, on Saturday.
The centre takes on and rehomes hundreds of animals each year and relies on public donations to stay afloat.
Once again the star attraction will be the grand prize raffle with a £200 first prize, £100 second prize and £50 third prize up for grabs on the day.
Doors will be open from 11am until 3pm with stalls boasting brick-a-brac, jumble, toys, games and ornaments.
There will be the ever- popular tombola and would-be pet owners can find out more about Danemere’s current needy animals.
David Lannie, kennel supervisor, said the fund-raiser was important ahead of the Christmas period when the rescue shelter will fill with unwanted pets.
He added: “It’s a chance for people to come along, have a good time and find out what we do.”
