THIS year’s Victorian Christmas Fayre was a huge success, according to West Mercia Constabulary.
The fayre took place over four days and saw 100,000 visitors travel to Worcester from all over the country.
Chief Inspector Helena Bennett, oversaw this year’s Christmas Fayre, and said: “The event was a great success from a policing point of view and all of the officers involved did a really good job in ensuring an enjoyable and safe time was had by all.
“Despite 200 coaches arriving in and leaving the city over the four day period, minimal disruption was caused to the roads in and around Worcester and traffic flowed freely.
“Three children and two adults were reported missing but all were safely reunited with their loved-ones shortly after. One person was arrested on suspicion of stealing a purse.”
