A TOUR promoting anti-bullying is set to start but it is not too late to get your ticket and take part.
The W Factor, which has been organised by Wychavon District Council, will take place in three village halls.
It will include performances by the W Factor finalists, while other local youth arts groups will be performing a medley of songs, music, dance, diablo and poetry, and workshops in slam poetry and rap, graffiti arts and African drumming.
The performances and workshops will be held at Peopleton Village Hall on Thursday, Bredon Village Hall on Friday and Inkberrow Village Hall on Saturday.
Arts development officer Jenny Davis said: “Bullying is still a real problem for children and young people today, so using the performing arts is a very powerful way for us to get an anti-bullying message across to young people.
“Of course the evening will be very entertaining as well, with young people getting a chance to try the arts in the workshops prior to the show.
“I am very excited as we have been able to book Birmingham’s poet laureate 2006/2007 Spoz for one of the workshops.”
Workshops will be from 6.15pm and the performances will begin at 8pm. Tickets are £3 and for youth group bookings the leader will get in free.
Enquiries about tickets for the Peopleton production can be made to 01905 841332, Bredon 01386 555488 and Inkberrow 01386 792201.
