A FATHER and son team from Worcester who cycled the length of Britain to raise much-needed funds for local charities have handed over a cheque to Acorns children’s hospice, Worcester.
Steve and Richard Taylor raised a total of £5,200 by completing the gruelling 1,017-mile cycle ride from Land’s End to John O’Groats in July.
The money will be divided between four local charities, and the pair are pictured here presenting a cheque for £1,300 to the hospice’s Tony Lawrence at Bridges restaurant on Hindlip Lane, Worcester.
Also pictured are the owner of Bridges Michael Langhorne, who sponsored the two men, and Rosemary Taylor, who supported them in their venture by driving the 2,000-plus mile round trip.
Acorns looks after life-limited children and their families from its base in Bath Road.
