PUPILS at Nunnery Wood Primary School have celebrated the opening of their new gazebo and achieving Healthy School Status.
The gazebo was paid for with money raised by the friends of the school and provides an outside learning area for the children.
Friends’ representative Emma Cother said: “The children are involved in telling us what they want for the school and we try to achieve that.”
The school has become one of the latest in the county to achieve Healthy Schools Status for providing pupils with healthy food, exercise and teaching pupils how to be healthy in every aspect of their lives.
The school will be holding its annual Christmas fair on Friday, December 12, from 5pm to 7pm.
