TWO staff members required hospital treatment after being assaulted in a city supermarket.
Police were called to Tesco in Mill Wood Drive, Warndon Villages, Worcester, at 10.40am today.
It remains unclear how the staff where assaulted or what injuries they sustained, but eyewitness Jenny Holmes said: “There were police coming out of the shop and it looked like a bit of a panic.”
One man has since been arrested for the assault and remains in police custody.
Inspector Jeremy Gregory said: “No knives were involved in this incident.”
He added the staff members were taken to hospital and later discharged.
The ambulance service did not receive a call to the store.
