PLANS to build houses in a site in the middle of Powick, near Worcester, are due to go before councillors at Malvern Hills District Council for the third time next week.
A scheme for three large detached houses was refused by the council in August and an amended proposal for two homes went to the council’s northern area development control committee at the beginning of November but had to be deferred to allow local residents more time to consider it.
The application for two four-bedroom detached houses on land at the Coach House, Kings End Road, will now go to the committee on Wednesday (December 3) and is recommended for approval.
But residents in Kings Ed Road, have objected on the grounds of overdevelopment, risk to culverts, flood risk, loss of light, vehicle noise, highway safety, pollution risk, harm to wildlife and on a number of other issues.
Planning officers believe the proposals are generally in line with the council’s policies and the development plan and are recommending approval.
