PREPARE to enter the seedy Kit Kat Klub and the dazzling world of Cabaret.
The current revival of the musical opens at Malvern Theatres on Monday, December 8, bringing with it world famous dancer Wayne Sleep and I’d Do Anything runner-up Samantha Barks.
With eight Academy Awards, seven BAFTAs, 13 Tonys and Double Olivier under its belt – not to mention a film adaptation – Cabaret has managed to retain its sparkle since it first opened on Broadway in 1966. Set in 1931 Berlin, it revolves around the young English cabaret performer Sally Bowles (Barks) and her relationship with young American writer Cliff Bradshaw. Sleep, formerly principal of the Royal Ballet, will play the memorable Emcee.
Cabaret runs until Saturday, December 13. For tickets, call the box office on 01684 892277.
