A MYSTERY caller may have vital information about the whereabouts of a missing schoolboy.

A caller arrived at Leominster Police Station with information about 14-year-old schoolboy Andrew Gosden who went missing on Sunday, September 14, in the South Yorkshire police area.

When the caller arrived at the station at 8.15pm front counter staff were off-duty.

The man then used the intercom system outside the police station to speak with Call Management Centre staff in Worcester.

The man, who would not disclose any details, said he had some information regarding the missing schoolboy, Andrew Gosden.

PC Adele Loney from Leominster Police Station was alerted by radio but when she returned to the station, the man had gone.

There have been no sightings of Andrew since he went missing.

His family and police are extremely concerned for his welfare.

PC Adele Loney said: "If this man does have information about young Andrew, it is vital to the investigation that he makes contact with police again."
