PUPILS from a Worcester school are tuning up for their annual Christmas carol concert.
These youngsters from Christopher Whitehead Language College, St John’s, Worcester, will be among about 100 young people from the college taking part in the event on Monday, December 15.
The service starts at 7pm and lasts for about an hour. Pupils aged from 12 to 16 will perform pieces of drama and read poems on a Christmas theme, while the staff and student choir will sing festive favourites.
Assistant headteacher Saira Archer said: “It is a candlelit service and it has a lovely gentle atmosphere.
It is a nice one to bring the children to. It is normally very well-supported.”
Ms Archer said pupils would also sell mulled mora made from the juice of fair-trade Columbian blackberries. Entry to the service is free.
