WE had a good attendance for the November annual meeting.
There was plenty of business to discuss, correspondence and arrangements for meetings, carol concerts and a service for Worcester WI’s 90th anniversary at the cathedral. We also have two luncheons arranged for those who wish to attend.
We welcomed Doreen Jeeves, WI adviser and an old friend who conducted our annual meeting and gave us a short talk about the benefits of belonging to the WI and encouraged us to take part in the many activities and meetings.
We had an entertaining report and financial report by Janet Hastings and Jean Jennings respectively.
Sylvia Hudson warmly thanked her committee and everyone for their support during the year.
The current committee was returned together with two new members and Sylvia is to be president for one more year.
We then had cakes and coffee and a short social time drew the raffle and the meeting to a close at noon.
Visitors always welcome – contact 01905 454478 for further details.
