OUTSTANDING! That was the verdict when Ofsted inspectors visited Nunnery Wood High School in Worcester at the start of October.
The team observed lessons, analysed data and talked to staff, governors, students and parents.
They also analysed 450 questionnaires that parents had returned to the school.
At the end of the inspection, the team graded the school, using the Ofsted four-point scale: outstanding, good, satisfactory, inadequate.
The main judgements made by Ofsted were: achievement and standards: outstanding; personal development of students: outstanding; teaching and learning: good; curriculum: outstanding; care and support for students: outstanding; leadership and management of the school: outstanding; overall: outstanding Headteacher Alun Williams said: We are all thrilled with Ofsted’s report about the school.
“Everyone has worked so hard to make Nunnery Wood the success that it is today – staff, governors, parents and especially students.
The report is an accurate reflection of the school and we are absolutely delighted that the team thought so highly of us.
“‘Outstanding’ is now our new benchmark and we shall expect everything that we do from now on to measure up to that!
