THESE CCTV stills could help police identify people who witnessed a serious assault in Evesham.

Two men were hurt in an unprovoked attack in Bridge Street in the early hours of Saturday, November 1.

It is believed that a group of six or more men and youths were responsible. Officers want to speak to people seen on CCTV as they may hold key information that could help with the investigation.

The assaults occurred between 2.10am and 2.25am.

Detective Constable Zoey Carter, of West Mercia police, said: “I would like to emphasise that anyone pictured is only being asked to help police with their enquiries as witnesses, there is no suggestion at all that they were involved in, or connected to, the incidents.

“I would ask these people to get in touch and also anyone else who has any information. It was a busy night, with many people dressed up as it was Halloween - this may jog people’s memories.”

The victims were taken to the Accident and Emergency department of Worcestershire Royal Hospital and released after treatment.

A man and a youth were later arrested in connection with the incident. Both are now on police bail.

Anyone who believes they are pictured in the CCTV images or have relevant information is asked to call DC Carter on 0300 3333000, quoting 132S/011108.

Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
