A VILLAGE school has abandoned the curriculum for one afternoon a week to allow children to take part in a host of fun activities.
Pupils at Hallow CE Primary School have been taking part in cornet, violin and steel drumming lessons, hockey, modern foreign languages and design and technology activities, among many others, each Thursday.
Headteacher Simon Stubbs said: “The school is buzzing on a Thursday afternoon as the children take part in many activities. It’s great to see them get so enthused about what they are doing.
There is always a great atmosphere.”
The school has an open evening on Thursday at 7pm for prospective pupils to take a look at the activities on offer throughout the week.
