HALF a million copies of a police booklet are being posted to people to let them know how officers are performing.

Householders in south Worcestershire should already be receiving their copies which are sent out across the West Mercia Constabulary force area, which also includes north Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin.

The eight-page Policing West Mercia booklet, produced with the West Mercia Police Authority, contains updates on the force’s performance as well as policing news, contact details and future priorities. It also contains helpline numbers and police station opening times.

Authority chairman Paul Denee said: “West Mercia Constabulary is one of the best performing forces in England and Wales.”

He thanked officers and staff as well as residents for their continuing hard work and cooperation.

Chief constable Paul West said: “With the continuing support and assistance from our communities and our partners, we are confident West Merica will remain a safe place to live, work and visit now and in the future.”

A copy of the local policing summary is also available to download from westmercia.
