A CLEARANCE sale has been organised at a city shop selling Royal Worcester Porcelain which is now in administration.
The sale is now on at House of Fraser, based in the CrownGate shopping centre in Worcester.
Similar sales will also be held at 15 other shops selling Royal Worcester porcelain, including at shops in Birmingham, Solihull and Wolverhampton, Bridgend and Castleford, Peterborough, Birmingham, Northampton, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Shiremoor, Lakenheath, Bedford, Dundee, Ilford and Newcastle Upon Tyne.
Staff at the department store in Worcester refused to discuss the prices or the type of stock on offer in the sale which has been announced with immediate effect.
Administrators PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP confirmed 16 sites as clearance stores for selling off Royal Worcester & Spode Ltd products.
We announced in your Worcester News this month about how 22 jobs were axed from the firm which is 257 years old after the company called in administrators.
Administrators are trying to secure a buyer for the business.
