A FOLK band will be playing seasonal tunes in front of a charity shop in Droitwich to give shoppers a cheery welcome to Acorns Children’s Hospice’s Christmas fair.
Duty Free, featuring Acorns volunteer Mike Johns who also helps out in the town’s shop, will be entertaining children and adults tomorrow.
Youngsters will also be able to visit Father Christmas in his grotto, win a prize or pick up a bargain at the fayre at the shop in St Andrew’s Street.
Manager Lynn Smith said children will also be able to have their faces painted for 50p while there will also be a chocolate tombola.
She said: “Our shop is all about raising money to care for life-limited children.
“Acorns currently helps 99 local children in Worcestershire, but we have another 112 children who we must reach and need the funds to do so.
"Joining us will help us to support these vulnerable families.”
The hospice is based in Bath Road, Worcester.
