A MAN miraculously escaped serious injury after getting his hand trapped in machinery in Herefordshire.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to a farm in Allensmore area just before 2.30pm yesterday where a man, believed to be in his 60s, had one hand trapped in a large piece of machinery at the back of a lorry.
An ambulance spokesman could not give an exact description of the machinery, but said: “The man managed to alert emergency services by calling 999 on his mobile phone with his free hand.
“Crews worked with firefighters at the scene to release his right hand. Miraculously, he suffered minor injuries and crews treated him at the scene before he was transferred by land ambulance to Hereford County Hospital.”
