TWENTY eight education providers in Herefordshire and Worcestershire secured top marks in their Ofsted inspections in the last year, according to the annual report from Ofsted.
The 19 playgroups, eight schools and one college were inspected between April 2007 and August 2008 and were judged to be ‘outstanding’.
The annual report contains a list of 2,944 education providers and carries weight for all those included, especially Hereford Sixth Form College, who appeared on the list for the second year running.
Two counties establishments that were deemed to be outstanding include:
London Road Playgroup and Pre-school, Worcester; Allington Play-Tec at Worcester College of Technology, Worcester; Bredenbury Primary School, Bromyard; Somers Park Primary School, Malvern; Leigh and Bransford Primary School, Malvern; Stottesdon CE Primary School, Kidderminster; Barrs Court School, Hereford; Hereford Sixth Form College, Hereford; Hereford Waldorf Nursery and Kindergarten, Hereford; Bowbrook House School, Pershore; Droitwich Spa Nursery and Kindergarten, Droitwich; Church House Day Nursery, Kidderminster; St Ambrose Pre-school, Kidderminster; St Richard’s School, Bromyard; The Knoll School, Kidderminster; Barnabees Nursery, Kidderminster
