A TERMINALLY-ILL teenager who refused a heart transplant was today granted her final wish - a holiday in Disneyworld, Florida.

Hannah Jones, who moved with her family from Whitbourne, near Worcester, to Marden, near Hereford, said she was "delighted" with the news that a UK company was to provide her with travel insurance for the trip next month.

Her family had previously been unable to find a company prepared to insure Hannah, a former pupil of Whitbourne Primary School, near Worcester, for her dream holiday.

Hannah, 13, who suffered heart failure as a result of treatment for leukaemia, will fly to the United States with her family and 39 other seriously ill or disabled children in a trip organised by the charity Caudwell Children.

The group will be accompanied by a team of paramedics and doctors.

Hannah said: "I'm delighted, overwhelmed. With only a few weeks to go before we leave I feared that I wasn't going to be able to go on the holiday.

"I absolutely love Disney and watch all of the films, to be able to go and see them is a dream come true.

"The week away from our routine of doctors appointments and hospitals will be a wonderful distraction for me and my family, we will feel like a normal family for a while."

The insurance company, which wishes to remain anonymous, responded to a nationwide plea for help from the Jones family after repeated attempts to secure medical insurance were refused.

Hannah's father Andrew Jones, said: "I can't thank everyone who has offered to help enough.

"Amidst all of the media coverage over the last few days our main aim was to find someone who could insure our little girl for her dream holiday.

"My wife and I are thrilled that we have been able to do this and now we can't wait to see the smile on her face."
