A BIKER had to be taken to hospital after a crash on a Herefordshire road.
The emergency services were called to an incident on Hampton Park Road in Hereford at around 9.30am today.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival at the scene crews found a man unconscious in the road.
"It is believed that the motorbike that he had been travelling on had been in collision with a car.
“Crews treated a man, believed to be in his 50’s, for serious head and chest injuries.
"The man was taken on blue lights to Hereford County Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
"The hospital was pre-alerted to the arrival of the man and of the severity of his injuries."
No one else was injured in the incident.
