YOUNGSTERS at Blessed Edward Oldcorne Catholic College in Worcester have taken part in their third ‘jump ropes for hearts’ programme with the British Heart Foundation.
More than 170 year seven pupils filled the school’s sports hall and skipped for three hours to complete the sponsored event.
Pupils worked in groups skipping individually over a period of two minutes each.
A spokesman said: “The event was extremely enjoyable for all involved.
“The money raised will be sent to the British Heart Foundation in aid of further research and educational resources to inform the UK public of the biggest killer in this country.”
