WORCESTER Sea Cadets helped support the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal this year.
With the help of Worcester Mayor Lucy Hodgson Jordan Warner, aged 12, Philip Coventry, aged 16, Aaron Ormsby, aged 11, Jack Ormsby, aged 10, Mark Ormsby, aged 16, and Lucy Mitchell, aged 13, all stood in the city centre selling poppies to members of the public.
Worcester Sea Cadets commanding officer Rob Mountford said: “All of the cadets gave up their own time to support this appeal and paraded in Worcester and Gloucester. I think it is a credit to the young people that they got involved with the Royal British Legion and I was very proud of them on Sunday.”
Worcester Sea Cadets are based next to the river Severn in Diglis off Portland Walk.
