OUR November meeting was also our annual one.
After a welcome by our president, Shirley Miles, it was monthly business first.
There were invitations to Callow End WI and to St Gabriel’s and notice of two Severn Group events – the quiz at Hanley Swan and the carol service at Upton Church.
Sue Strang reported on the recent group meeting at Powick when there had been an interesting talk on traditional canal art followed by an excellent supper.
Coral Male had been our delegate at the council meeting at Stourport and reported on a very good day with interesting speakers.
The business of the annual meeting went smoothly.
The committee report emphasised just how busy we had been during the year at local, group and county level.
We do take advantage of much of what is on offer and enjoy ourselves. Scrabble and walking groups meet regularly and at the beginning of December members are invited to view the work of the art group, which now meets weekly.
Shirley Miles was re-elected president.
An auction followed, with lots being very varied, including bric-abrac, cakes and even a nest of tables. It caused much laughter and generated money for our funds.
