TODAY there will be plenty of fundraising-fun when kind-hearted people in the community do their bit for Children in Need.

From bathing in beans to going to work in their pyjamas and donning fancy dress to wrestling and tenpin bowling there’s plenty going on.

Norton Pre-School in Littleworth, is having a sponsored colour Pudsey and wear your pyjamas to school day.

Worcester Tenpin Bowling is giving two lanes to the appeal where anyone wanting to have a game can raise funds for the charity at the same time.

Staff at Pershore Leisure Centre will be dressing up as film and cartoon characters with fun and games planned throughout the day.

From 4pm customers will also be able to pay to empty cans of beans over members of staff and between 7-9pm there will be a dodge ball challenge, costing £3 per person.

For more details call the centre on 01386 552346.

For fans of heavy music, Punk 4 Pudsey is back for its fifth year, having raised nearly £5,000 for the charity.

Alternative rock and punk band Backwash will be playing at the event along with Dan Scotty, who recently appeared on Channel 4’s T-Mobile unsigned show.

Birmingham-based Emo rockers Lyu, along with political punk band Red and the Resistance, female-fronted progressive pop-rock band Che, the Rivercard, Shirukume and Terrorhawk will also be on stage.

The event is being held at Worcester’s Marrs Bar on Saturday, November 15.
