A SCHOOL in Pershore is to hold its first official remembrance service to pay tribute to those who have served in wars past and present.
Abbey Park Middle School will be at Pershore Abbey at 10.15am today for the service being led by The Revd Chris Stuart.
Members of Pershore & District Royal Naval Association (RNA) have been invited to attend.
Secretary Trudy Burge said: “As you can imagine, it has been a busy week for us at the RNA with remembrance services but this one is very special to us as we are touched that such young ages of children are so keen to remember those who have served their country and we are delighted to be involved.”
Year six pupils at the school in Abbey Road are currently studying the Second World War and a trip to Pershore Heritage Centre and Pershore Naval Social Club has been organised to take place at the end of the month.
