A WINTER warming dinner takes place tomorrow to raise money for two Worcester charities.
Volunteers from St Paul’s Hostel for the Homeless in Shrub Hill and the Worcester Breast Unit Campaign are staging the Gourmets in Good Company evening, attended by Worcester Mayor Lucy Hodgson, who has adopted the two charities for the year.
Guests will be able to enjoy a feast of food and drink and listen to the guest speaker for the evening Rocky Hudson, who has appeared on Monty Don’s BBC2 TV programme Growing Out of Trouble, and is currently running a similar project called The Good Soil Project near Worcester.
Proceeds from the tickets, which are selling rapidly, will go to the charities.
Guests will be welcomed with spiced punch and canapés and have the opportunity to view displays of work done by the two charities.
The event is being held in the grand Lower Hall of St Peter’s Baptist Church.
Tickets cost £18 each and are available by calling 01905 723732.
