A MAN has been taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash on a busy side road.
The accident, involving a car and a Citroen Dispatch van, happened on a bend in Pound Bank Road, Malvern, at about 1.40pm, yesterday.
The van driver, believed to be in his 30s, was given a neck collar and put on a spine board before being taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
West Midlands Ambulance spokeswoman Suzie Fothergill said: “He had some minor neck pain and was taken to hospital as a precaution. The driver of the car had no injuries.”
An ambulance and rapid response car rushed to the scene and police and fire also attended.
The road was temporarily blocked while the emergency services dealt with the casualty and cleared debris.
John Bartholomew, of nearby Lydes Road, was walking his dog when he came across the accident.
He said: “People go up and down the road often so there are accidents here fairly often.”
