A MAN has been hospitalised after a two-vehicle shunt on a busy side road.
The accident involving a car and a Citroen Dispatch van happened on a bend in Pound Bank Road, in Malvern, at about 1.40pm, today.
The van driver, believed to be in his 30s, was given a neck collar and spine board before being taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
Suzie Fothergill, West Midlands Ambulance spokeswoman, said: “He had some minor neck pain and was taken to hospital as a precaution.
“The driver of the other car had no injuries.”
An ambulance and rapid response car rushed to the scene and a fire engine and police also attended.
The road was temporarily blocked while the emergency services dealt with the casualty and cleared debris.
John Bartholomew, of nearby Lydes Road, was walking his dog when he came across the accident.
He said: “People go up and down the road often so there are accidents fairly often.”
