HAVING exiled Darren Randolph from the Hereford United team, boss Graham Turner has swooped to loan Wolverhampton Wanderers keeper Matt Murray.
The Edgar Street chief snapped up the 27-year-old for a one-month period last night after revealing on Tuesday that his Charlton loanee stopper refused to play in the FA Cup first round clash with Dagenham and Redbridge two hours before the kick-off.
Turner is unable to send Randolph back to the Valley and claimed he would have terminated his contract had he been a fully-fledged Bull.
But in signing Murray, Turner has potentially pulled off another coup with the former England Under 21 international looking to rebuild his career after 18 months on the sidelines with a cruciate ligament injury.
The keeper goes straight into the squad for Saturday’s relegation derby battle with Cheltenham Town and will compete with Craig Samson for the number one spot.
