YOUNG men and women interested in a career in the Army while gaining vocational training can learn more about how to combine the two at an event to be held on Saturday.
Soldiers and officers from the Army Foundation College in Harrogate will be at The Whitehouse Hotel in Foregate Street, Worcester, at 10am to talk to school and college students and their parents and guardians.
The Army Foundation College allows young people to earn an income whilst they gain first class military and vocational training at the same time.
Each period of training is 42 weeks, with two intakes in September and January.
Entrants must be aged between 16 and 17 years and one month on joining.
Major Ken Kennedy, Army Careers Officer for the region, said: “The Army Foundation College is very popular with 16 - 17 year olds because it gives such a good grounding at an early age.
In September, 23 young men and women were attested at Worcester to progress to AFC Harrogate, and more will go in January.”
