A BLAZE has swept through a domestic car port and garage seriously damaging many of the items inside.
Appliances, fishing gear and a child’s bicycle and a lawn mower were among the contents destroyed after a fire broke out at a property off Nunnery Lane, in Worcester, at about 10am today.
Firefighters arrived in time to stop the rapidly-spreading flames damaging the attached semi-detached home. Nobody was injured.
Two engines from Worcester and another from Malvern were sent to the scene with crews donning breathing gear and using water jets to tackle the blaze.
The brick built garage’s wooden roof was left blackened and charred but still standing afterwards.
The cause of the blaze is not known and firefighters are due to inspect the scene again later today.
