IT is a case of different strokes for two men who share the surname Harris.
The 25th annual exhibition of Worcestershire artist John Harris will be opened by Andrew Harris, the chairman of the Harris brush factory at Stoke Prior, near Bromsgrove.
Doors open at the Sports Pavillion, in Sands Road, Inkberrow, near Evesham, from 10am until 6pm on Saturday and the event runs until Friday. On Tuesdays and Thursdays doors open until 9pm.
Though the Harris brush factory no longer makes artists’ brushes, both men agreed it was an opportunity to celebrate their shared surname, which locally connect both ends of the paintbrush industry.
The exhibition will include examples of the artist’s landscape paintings reflecting Britain’s autumnul colours, locally and farther afield, and wildlife.
Copies of Mixed Memoirs: A History Of Brush Maker Leslie G Harris will also be on sale.
