WORCESTERSHIRE County Cricket Club is under water once again but river levels have peaked and are now starting to fall.
The picturesque New Road ground succumbed to flooding from the river Severn for the fourth time this year.
The Environment Agency said flood warnings remained in place on the river Severn between Worcester and Tewkesbury and the river Avon from Evesham.
However, a spokeswoman said river levels had peaked in Worcester, Upton-upon-Severn, and Evesham late yesterday afternoon.
“They are starting to go down,” she said.
While flood barriers remain in place in Upton for the foreseeable future, a number of roads in Wychavon and Herefordshire were still unpassable yesterday after heavy downpours on Sunday caused flooding.
