MEMBERS and past members of Worcester Boys Brigade are being invited to relive their memories of their years in the various city companies at a reunion next month.
Old boy Norman Tullett, aged 62, of Blackpole, who attended Worcester Boys Brigade at the Bromyard Road Methodist Church from the age of 11 for seven years is organising the event.
He was moving house and came across this old photograph, probably taken in the late 1950s or early 1960s, which reminded him of all the good times he had with the organisation.
“I really enjoyed those days in the boys brigade. It was great fun. We learned First Aid, did PE, went camping and hiking and did jobs like car cleaning to raise money for the brigade. I had some really good times there,” said Mr Tullett.
“All I want to do is to bring some of the old boys together to talk about the happy days in the boys brigade.”
He is also inviting them to bring their children and grandchildren along in a bid to encourage any young people to join the brigade today.
The reunion will be held at the Bromyard Road Methodist Church on Wednesday November 26 at 7.30pm.
Anyone interested in attending should contact Mr Tullett on 01905 757827 or Mike Dandy on 01905 421917.
