WORCESTER’S mayor helped re-paint the hall and kitchen at a sheltered accommodation site.
Mayor Lucy Hodgson joined other volunteers on Friday as part of the Make a Difference day.
Together they painted the areas in Langdale Close, Warndon, Worcester.
Organiser Stephen Hornberger said: “The areas were starting to get dirty and needed lifting and brightening up.
“It has made a big difference.”
The day was part of an annual volunteering event which saw projects organised across the country. Paint and materials were donated by West Mercia Police.
