HUNDREDS of happy couples flocked to the biggest bridal show in the Three Counties to put the finishing touches to their dream weddings.
After more than 1,100 people walked through the front door, organisers hailed yesterday’s Worcester News Three Counties Bridal Show a huge success.
A stunning fashion show featuring beautiful dresses and suave suits proved popular once again, while flowers, favours, gifts, and a variety of vehicles were all exhibited to ensure that people planning for their big day had a wedding to remember.
Worcester News advertisement representative Emma Meacham, who helped run this year’s show at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern, said: “It has gone fantastically well. Both visitors and exhibitors have had a great day and everyone has been very pleased with the turnout.”
Bride-to-be Hayley Griffiths said the event had been helpful.
The 27-year-old, from Kidderminster.“We’re only in the early stages of planning our wedding so it’s been good to get some ideas. I’ve been mainly looking at the dresses. They’re all so beautiful.”
Exhibitors from near and far said the show had been a success. James Bristow, owner of Arrive in Morse Style, based in The Lees, Malvern, said: “It’s a good show. We normally get a good response and we have taken a few bookings. There seems to be a good interest.”
Joanne Heaton, manager of Edinburgh Crystal, part of Waterford Crystal, based at Royal Worcester Porcelain, said: “It’s very well laid out and we have had a lot of positive feedback.”
Suzanne Lewis, who co-owns the Bridal Boutique with Glenda Plester, said it was a good show for them even though the store in Lowesmoor, Worcester, only opened six weeks ago.
She said: “It’s our first trade show and we have had a lot of good feedback. We have taken some orders from people who had been in the store as well.”
Carolyn Maclean and Simon McAulay, co-owners of Balloons of Worcester, which is based in Warndon Villages, said: “It has been brilliant. We have had a really good day. We have had a lot of interest and taken two bookings so we are really happy.”
Garry Russell, whose wife owns Personalised Wedding Stationary by Anna, based in Gloucester, said: “It’s the first time we have done this show but it has been quite productive.”
