TWO men have been seriously injured after a motorcycle was involved in a collision with a pedestrian.
The incident happened on the A38 in Wychbold near to McDonald’s shortly before 6.30pm last night.
Two ambulances, a senior manager, a BASICS Emergency Doctor, an incident support officer and a student paramedic were all sent to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews found a pedestrian and a motorcyclist who had been injured in the collision.
“The pedestrian, a 46-year-old man, suffered head, chest, back, hip and pelvis injuries.
“The man was given pain relief and crews treated his wounds before he was immobilised with a neck collar and spinal board and transferred on blue lights to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
“The motorcyclist, a 20-year-old man, suffered a serious head injury in the crash and was sedated by the BASICS doctor due to his condition.
“Ambulance crews immobilised the man before he was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital where medics were on standby awaiting his arrival.”
