THE grandchildren of a Worcester man who died at St Richard’s Hospice in Worcester are organising a Halloween party in his memory.
Sisters Kelly and Kirsty Webb and their cousins Della and Debbie Bowkett started planning the event before their 77-year-old grandfather Nick Webb died at the end of September.
Now, they are determined to carry on and raise funds for the hospice.
Nineteen-year-old Kelly said: “The reason we are still going ahead and we have not stopped is because we know he would want us to. We all feel that St Richard’s is a worthy cause for anyone who finds themselves in our grandad’s position. We know that his last days were peaceful and in a lovely setting.”
The event will be held tomorrow at the Northwick Arms, Vine Street, Worcester, between 2pm and 9pm.
It will include apple bobbing, a best-dressed competition, a bouncy castle, a children’s disco, pin the nose on the pumpkin and a competition for the best carved pumpkin.
