DISTINGUISHED guests are set to arrive in style at an annual dinner night in Worcester.
After the Faithful City hosted a special 25th anniversary commemorative parade for veterans of the Falklands confilct last year, the Worcester Trafalgar Commemorative Group has returned to hosting a small dinner for special guests who will arrive in Morgan cars at the King Charles Restaurant, New Street, tomorrow night.
Pipes and drums played by the West Mercia Police Pipe Band are set to play guests in and accompany a solemn salute to members of Armed Forces killed in action since the group’s last dinner.
The guest speaker will be actor Sir Timothy Ackroyd whose family knew Edward Elgar and Winston Churchill among others.
There will be a reception at the Guildhall for visiting naval officers beforehand about 4pm.
