A PUB landlord is hosting a winter food festival.
Darren Barson, who runs The Nightingale on Evesham Road, Spetchley, will be launching the festival to showcase his pub’s newly-created Dark Nights menu.
He is offering guests the opportunity to come along and try the new dishes for free in return for their feedback.
Mr Barson said: “Myself and The Nightingale head chef have worked very hard over the last few months on developing the new dishes ready for the winter and the whole team are very proud of what we’ve created.
“Of course it is our guests’ opinion that matters most, so we are holding an exclusive tasting festival to give people in Worcester the chance to come along and try complimentary sample size versions of the new dishes and let us know what they think,” he said.
“We have also responded to our guests’ requests for a separate lunch menu which contains lighter dishes such as wholesome soups and sandwiches that are perfect for a weekday lunch with colleagues or friends,” added Mr Barson.
The festival is taking place at 5-7pm on Saturday.
Those wishing to attend should go to vintageinn.co.uk/thenightingalespetchley and print off an exclusive tasting festival pass which they should present on arrival at the pub.
There is something to suit all tastes with entire sections dedicated to fish, pub classics and chargrill.
New dishes include the mezze sharing plate for two, the five spiced duck and the organically reared salmon risotto.
