A FUND-raising folk dance raised over £600 for WaterAid.
More than 120 people turned out for a ceilidh at Worcester’s Guildhall on Saturday, October 18, part of The Big National Ceilidh event, and helped raise £650 for the global charity that poor people access to safe water.
Ian Craigan, who organised the traditional celtic party and called out dance steps on the night, said “Just £15 can give someone a lasting supply of safe water, sanitation and hygiene education, so the £650 raised from our event will help over 40 people gain access to water and toilets – things we all take for granted.
“Thanks so much to all the musicians and people who turned up and supported us on the night.”
