Two Worcester men have been acquitted of charges stemming from a violent incident at a city pub.
Sam Gleadall, 22, of Bransford Road, St John's, was cleared of affray and Paul Bennett, 21, of Kirkstone Drive, Tolladine, of assault causing actual bodily harm.
The prosecution at Worcester Crown Court offered no evidence on the day the pair were due to face trial by jury.
The charges were dropped after Gleadall pleaded guilty to breaching an anti-social behaviour order. Bennett admitted affray.
They will be sentenced in the week beginning Monday, November 17 along with two other men.
Trouble began at the Firefly during which a number of customers were ejected.
Gleadall admitted that as he was bundled outside, he lashed out with one punch, said Adam Western, defending.
Judge Alistair McCreath refused a bail application for Gleadall and remanded him in custody. He granted Bennett bail.
Outlining the breach, Mr Western said Gleadall broke a curfew by coming into Worcester city centre around midnight after a tearful phone call from his girlfriend that a female pal had been attacked.
