VISITORS to The Greyfriars are being asked to discover art in archaeology.
The Friar Street National Trust property is hosting the Worcester County Council exhibition of photographs, illustrations and paintings to show how Worcestershire’s archaeology has inspired a variety of artistic creations.
Laura Templeton, exhibition organiser, said: “We are very fortunate to be able to show not only the skills of the illustrators who work with our Archaeologists, but also the works of artists who have been inspired by the archaeology of Worcestershire.”
There is a range of illustrations on show from scale drawings of archaeological finds to reconstruction paintings of sites in the county as well as photographic constructions.
The exhibition runs until Friday from 1pm to 5pm.
Admission is £3.80 for adults and £1.90 for children.
