A FORMER pupil from the King’s School, Worcester has returned to take up the post of actor in residence.
Ben Humphrey is the first person to take on the role at the school.
“I am really pleased that the school has created this post and offered me the chance to come,” he said.
“My role involves working with the pupils on all aspects of performing arts.
“I can provide professional input and give the students advice on careers in the industry, applying to drama schools and I also run drama workshops.”
Mr Humphrey, aged 22, was a pupil at King’s before going on to study at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
“I think drama and performing arts is really important in schools,” he said.
“It’s great to be back at the school and working with the kids.”
Mr Humphrey is also starring in the pantomime production of Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood at the Swan Theatre in Worcester, which runs through December and in to January.
