THE police investigation in to the death of a paralysed rugby player is to be passed to the Complex Casework Unit of the Crown Prosecution Service.
As first revealed by your Worcester News last week, Dan James travelled to Switzerland last month and checked into a clinic where he later died.
His parents, Mark and Julie, went with him from their home in Sinton Green, near Worcester, and have since been questioned by police.
A spokesman for the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) confirmed the file will be passed to their complex casework unit.
A wide range of cases are dealt with by this unit, including those of aiding and abetting suicide.
Mr James, aged 23, was paralysed from the chest down after a scrum collapsed during a training session last year.
