COUNTY residents are being invited to take part in the 13-mile tour of Worcestershire Family Challenge cycle ride this weekend.
The ride - which takes place on Sunday - follows an almost entirely traffic-free route along canal towpaths and dedicated cycle routes in Worcester, and is free to enter. Everyone taking part will also receive a cycling goody bag.
For the more dedicated cyclists, there is also the 96-mile tour of Worcestershire Challenge along a tough route through Malvern, Great Witley, Tenbury Wells and Bewdley.
The event will help raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Mark Leyland, cycling projects officer for Worcestershire County Council, said: "Worcestershire is home to beautiful rolling countryside that is perfect for cycling offering interest and views around every corner. Cycling is fun, social and an excellent way of improving your health."
Both rides start and finish at Worcester Racecourse and cyclists can enter on the day.
The Family Challenge start from 10am, while the 96-mile route starts from 8.30am.
