WIFE swapping is cause for laughs at the Norbury Theatre’s latest show.
Situation Comedy tells of Charles and Arthur, a comedy writing team who want to regain their former popularity by creating another smash hit TV show. But a night drinking too much homemade wine ends when the pair accidentally swap wives.
The play is written by Johnnie Mortimer and Brian Cooke, the pair responsible for television shows such as George and Mildred, Love Thy Neighbour, Man About the House and Never the Twain.
Havoc ensues when Charles tries to cope with his friend’s demanding wife and Arthur attempts to live with cordon-bleu cuisine, but an empty bed.
Director Sue Imms said: “The whole cast really enjoyed putting this production together. There is fantastic chemistry between the actors and this is reflected in the final production.”
The show runs at the Norbury Theatre, Friar Street, Droitwich, from Wednesday, October 22, to Saturday, October 25.
